Our Staff

Cynthia Peabody, CPA
Cindy is the Managing Member and founder of Cynthia Peabody & Associates, CPA, PLLC, which specializes in taxation and accounting services. For over twenty-five years, Cindy has provided services to entities of all sizes in the Charlotte, NC metropolitan area, advising them on tax compliance, planning and business development.
She primarily prov
ides tax research, planning and compliance services to high-income individuals, C-corporations, LLC’s, S-corporations, and partnerships. She also provides accounting services to these same entities. Additionally, she has extensive experience with personal financial planning. Her industry specializations include construction & real estate development, manufacturers, wholesalers, and professional service companies.
Cindy is a member of several professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. She also serves as the Treasurer for the Dove House, a children’s advocacy center serving Iredell and Alexander counties.
In addition to being a CPA, Cindy is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Personal Financial Specialist. She also holds the Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from UNC at Charlotte.Cindy lives on Lake Norman in Sherrills Ford with her husband Keith. She is a native of North Carolina and enjoys gardening, reading, boating, traveling, entertaining, and star gazing in her spare time.

Carla Warner, Senior Staff Accountant
Carla joined the firm in July 2005 as a staff accountant after more than 10 years serving in the private sector. She was promoted to Senior Staff Accountant in 2007. She has degrees in accounting and business administration. Her primary responsibilities with the firm include payroll services, compiling financial accounting records for corporate and international clients, and tax preparation. She is the firm’s “go to” person for Quickbooks troubleshooting and technical support.
Carla resides in Statesville, NC with her husband Bill. She spends her free time gardening and spending time with family and friends.


  

Chris Thompson, Staff Accountant

Chris is the newest member of the firm. He joined us in January as a staff accountant after graduating from the University of West Florida with his Master of Accountancy and his B.S.B.A. in Accounting. Chris now anticipates studying for the CPA exam in order to obtain his license. Born and raised on the beautiful beaches of Florida, Chris now lives in Mooresville with his wife Tina and their one year old son, Bryton. In his free time, Chris enjoys the outdoors, sporting events, and spending time with his family.

 

 

 



Sandra Murphy, Office Manager
Sandi has been with our team since September 2008. She graduated from Pensacola Christian College in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Administration. As Office Manager, Sandi not only manages all of the day-to-day office functions, but also provides support through bookkeeping and other client projects.
Originally from Kansas, Sandi now lives in Huntersville with her husband Matt and their daschunds, Oscar and Lucy. In her spare time, she loves to cook and spend time with family and friends.

 



Amy Marshall, Office Administrator
New to the team, Amy has been with the firm since January 2009. She is often the first friendly face you see or speak to when you contact the firm. Before joining our team, she gained years of experience and knowledge in the furniture industry and retail sales.
Married with a daughter and two cats, Amy holds volunteer leadership positions with ACS, and her church, Peninsula Baptist Church. She also enjoys scrap booking, entertaining, and gardening.
